Hotel Marmar
Soundproofed rooms minutes from the airport and train station
About this stay
Hotel Marmar's biggest advantage is logistics: a kilometre from the airport, 700 metres from the train station, and close enough to the centre of Ouarzazate for restaurants and the souk on foot. Rooms are soundproofed with private bathrooms and showers, some with a balcony, and free Wi-Fi runs throughout rather than just in common areas. The 24-hour reception can organise excursions to the Draa River and the fortified city of Ait Benhaddou, and bicycle rental plus walking and cycling tours are available directly on site for guests who want to explore independently. That location advantage carries through the whole stay, with the town's restaurants and souk still an easy walk despite the airport proximity.
- Near airport and train station
- Soundproofed family rooms
- Free Wi-Fi throughout
- Excursion booking at reception
Our take
Hotel Marmar works best for travellers who value arrival logistics and a central base over resort amenities. Couples rate the location highly. Families benefit from the soundproofing and free Wi-Fi in every room, though anyone wanting a pool or spa on site should look elsewhere, since Marmar's strength is location rather than facilities.
- Book here specifically if minimising airport or train transfer time matters
- Ask the front desk to arrange an Ait Benhaddou excursion directly
- Request a balcony room if outdoor space matters to your stay

Why guests love itI would suggest Hotel Marmar to families who want a short transfer and quiet rooms. The two-star hotel is a kilometre from Ouarzazate Airport and 700 metres from the train station, and its rooms are soundproofed, some with private balconies. Family rooms are available, with free Wi-Fi throughout, and reception can arrange excursions to the Draa River and Ait Benhaddou. I would expect simple comforts. An 8.1 rating from over 850 reviews is encouraging.
