The resort lies about 7 km from the centre of El Jadida and some 90 km from Casablanca, with the beach, the pool and a spa with hammam inside the grounds. Its 7.5 over 784 reviews is modest for a five-star, so I would come for the golf and the coast first. Do not confuse it with the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, a separate hotel on the same coast.
- Play the closing holes late in the afternoon: the last three run along the ocean and the light is at its best before sunset.
- Take a taxi to El Jadida's walled Portuguese city, about 7 km away, for the old cistern and the ramparts; it is the one cultural visit worth leaving the resort for.
